NOVEMBER 2025 - RETURN TO TIZIMIN, MEXICO

A team of missionaries traveled once again to Tizimin, this time with a focus on prayer evangelism and to revisit one of the local pastors that we formed a relationship with when we were there in January, Pastor Santiago Dzul of IDP Sucopo.

Our stay at the Big Apple! La Gran Manzana (the Big Apple) was the temporary home for our missionaries during our stay in Tizimin. Each morning, we gathered in the courtyard for a time of Bible study and instruction from Pastor Scott.   We were a short walk to the central plaza and traveled in pairs to pray, whether in the local cathedral, the park, or down the surrounding streets.

There are no coincidences with God! We didn’t know that our trip to Tizimin fell on the week of “Hanal Pixan”, which translates to “Food for Souls”... but it was surely God’s plan that we cover the city with prayer! Hanal Pixan is a Mayan holiday that originates from its pagan traditions before Christianity was brought to the Yucatan by the Catholics. It is an Aztec celebration of the goddess Mictecacihuatl, their Queen of the Underworld. The belief is that the souls of their ancestors and loved ones return to earth for the celebration. The first night is meant to honor the children who have passed. November 1st pays homage to adults who have passed, while the final day, November 2nd, is dedicated to everyone who has passed. Our team made it a prayer focus for those three days, asking God to protect the city from invited spirits and that the hearts of the people would receive the truth that there is only One God, Jehovah, to be worshipped.

“You are my hug.” When God put it on Pastor Scott’s heart to visit Tizimin, it was for 2 purposes: to pray over the city and to encourage Pastor Santiago in Sucopo. We travelled by taxi, 13 miles from the heart of Tizimin on Saturday for a surprize visit to the church, but no one was there. We used translator apps to speak to one of the neighbors and he told us to stay and he would go to Pastor Santiago’s house and let him know we were there. When Pastor Santiago arrived, Pastor Scott told him that God had sent us to Mexico specifically to come and pray over him and his church. His eyes immediately filled with tears! He told us that he had been struggling, his ministry had been taxing, he and his wife had just had a third son and medical bills were mounting, He explained that he had cried out to God, wondering if God was through with him, and he had pleaded with Him... “God, I feel small and alone, I just need you to hug me!” Then he smiled through tears and said, “You are my hug!” We returned to the church on Sunday and joined them in worship, and then Pastor Santiago preached a message of enduring trials and God’s sufficient grace! The entire congregation was encouraged, and we were able to gift them with a donation that God put on our hearts, as well as pledge to send monthly support to the church. On Tuesday, as we were traveling home, Pastor Santiago shared with us how they all met the next day to begin work on the church, they were so encouraged!

ALGO LOVING THROUGH SERVING OTHERS!

Serving Mission APRIL 2025 - Orlando, Florida

PARTNERING WITH SERVANT LIFE MISSIONS & SERVE ORLANDO

Abundant Life Global Outreach missionaries traveled to Orlando, Florida, to partner with Servant Life Missions and Serve Orlando. We spent 4 days volunteering at various humanitarian and Christian organizations.

Some of the organizations we served:

The Salvation Army Senior Housing - We spent 3 days painting their communal kitchen in the activity room and a storage closet.

Second Harvest Food Bank - Sorting through frozen donations for quality control and usability.

Second Harvest Mercy Kitchen - filling containers with fresh food for underprivileged families.

Rise Against Hunger - Resetting and organizing materials in the warehouse and stacking boxes on pallets.

Christian Service Center - Helping to prepare meals for their soup kitchen.

God allowed us to be able to pray with some of the staff and volunteers at these organizations, and show our appreciation with small gifts. We were encouraged by the work of Serve Orlando, and its CEO, Carrie Williamson, and we were able to spend time with her discussing the hopes of beginning a similar work in Jacksonville.

Global Mission Trip JANUARY 2025 - Tizimin, Mexico

PARTNERING WITH DREAM CENTER INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

Abundant Life Global Outreach missionaries traveled to Tizimin, Mexico to partner with our missionary to Mexico, Dr. Bill Craver, at Dream Center International. We spent a week with DCI Missions bringing the Good News of Salvation to this beautiful Mayan community.

We're so thankful to those of you who have supported our organization, both monetarily and with prayer! With your help, we provided 390 pairs of reading glasses to give to those in need, as well as host a 2-day VBS for children and donated art supplies, jump, ropes, and soccer balls to their center. We also provided craft supplies to a girls' club in Rio Lagartos and taught them how to make macrame bracelets. We also provided help by painting and spreading landscape rock at the Dream Center Inn.

Pastor Scott preached three sermons at two different churches, and God‘s Spirit impacted the people as they came forward to the alters for salvation and prayer! We also saw many salvations through our two days of eyeglass evangelism in the Central Park. We shared the love of God with the village of Rio Lagartos by providing bags of food for needy families, praying with them for their needs, and taking sack lunches and Gospel tracts to the fishermen working at the docks.

Please pray for the continued work in the Yucatan as the Gospel is being shared with many who have never heard it.

ALGO loves the people of tizimin in Jesus' name!
