December 2024 - Oak View Rehab
We were blessed to visit Oak View Health and Rehabilitation Center this month and treat the patients to Christmas caroling! We sang in the common hall and then took our caroling into each wing, giving out a Christmas ornament to each patient.
December 2024 - Brookdale
The seniors at Brookdale had a lot of fun decorating New Year's cookies! We brought homemade sugar cookies, cream cheese frosting, and lots of festive sprinkles! We made sure to decorate a batch to take to our friends on the Memory Care Wing, as well as treat all of the great staff there! See more pictures below.
November 2024 - Brookdale
A team of our missionaries at Abundant Life Global Outreach gathered with our friends at Brookdale Senior Living Community to share an afternoon of fellowship while creating Christmas luminaries. We were able to purchase the materials needed for the crafts and help them create a holiday keepsake.
The seniors were able to choose the embellishments they liked the best and put their creative touches on their projects! There was plenty of laughter and comraderie at the tables as they shared stories and conversation. They expressed how much fun they had and how they hoped we'd be returning next month... so we're working on that! We also had a chance to visit the raised bed garden that we provided plants for back in September, and were thrilled at how full it is now of gorgeous flowers!
ALGO family THanksgiving
It was our annual "Family Thanksgiving Dinner" in November... and what a feast it was! We were blessed to be provided with a space to meet as we came together, potluck-style, and thanked God for another year of being together and the many blessings He's provided for each of us. We're also thankful for all of our donors, prayer partners, and supporters! We're grateful for you!
September 2024 - Brookdale
Our team purchased flowers, potting soil, mulch, and garden decorations to beautify the planter box in the patio garden at Brookdale. The seniors were able to come and show us their "green thumbs" as they helped pot the foliage. We enjoyed hearing their love for gardening and their memories of their own gardens!
